Quite an intersting read of a recent show on Dec 15th with Stewart & Andy Summers playing together. Also there is mention of a Tsunami relief show which was on Jan 11th:

Stewart is definately a killer, from what I hear. I really haven't heard enough from him besides stuff with the Police and Oysterhead. Having watched Brain's Lessons recently, he mentions that he's still one of the greats. Anyone have more recent material of him that is worth getting? Doesn't have to be recent but any clinic footage would be cool. Does he even give clinics?

Anyways, Stewart is not one to do clinics... don't think he ever has. Infact he packed his drums away for 10 years at one point in time.

He just is the way he is!

The Syncronicity Concert video is a MUST see. Hi Hat madness on there. I still practice Copeland-esque phrasing on the hat. Hard stuff to do but tasty as hell.

I have a DVD from Ghost In The Machine Tour, it's incredible !!!
The trio with two horns is awesome !!!

I think that we can read on Stewart's tom a message for Sting : "Go Fu... Yourself"

I remember one time, I was doing a session for a duet arabic/india and after a the first take I heard in my headphone people clapping and screaming : "hey Rodge great, good job !!!"
When I arrived in the control room, Stewat was there !!!
Man, I was so ashamed, I don't know why but I was looking for a hole or this kind of place for going...

We talked together, me asking A LOT of question about Police : "Hey Stewart, why do you written this message on your tom ?" and him laughing : "Just for the rock music legend..." that's was his answer.

He's one of the reason...
And the picture of me with Stewart on my website come from the moment when I met him, it was a pure dreams who become true.

Yep, I still have my (very old) VHS tape of that show Steve. He's is such an intense player. No-one hits harder when playing trad grip eh?

And I'm another one who can't stop putting in little ruff's & drags on the hat too. It's just a cool way of adding to the groove without filling all over the place.

i can hear so much of him in Vinnie's playin'!
sometimes more than Tony actually.
The rage!that's what they both have in common imo.
that's why i'll always take him or Vinnie over Weckl
Lang and many of those other greats.

I still remember the day I heard his playing, I must have been 7 or 8, way before I even started drumming.

About this Synchronicity Video... is it a retail video or bootleg? I downloaded a great Police DVD last year, I wonder if this is the same one.
